Future Kids Hands & Minds Together
Kids Hands & Minds Together (KH&MT) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by Nate Jones to save hands-on education from extinction. Literally educating the brain through the hands, KH&MT encourages creativity, three-dimensional problem solving, team building, convergent thinking, and improved self-esteem, which come with success through tenacity. The educational opportunities aboard the USS IOWA, including its fully operational machine shop, make it an ideal location to support this critical piece of early childhood education.

One such opportunity is Kids Car™, a proven learning program that teaches its lessons via small wooden cars and gravity go carts.
All KH&MT curriculum has been designed to meet K-12 California State standards, and additional resources are available to support secondary University Education System needs.
