- All gifts of equipment and materials donated to Pacific Battleship Center (PBC) become the property of PBC.
- Gifts of motor vehicles, boats, and airplanes shall include title, bill of sale (if applicable) and IRS Form 1098-C.
- In addition to the above, if value is greater than $5,000, IRS Form 8283 signed by an IRS qualified appraiser and written appraisal, as well as the donee, is required.

IRS publication 563 (Determining the Value of Donated Property) is helpful for individuals, partnerships, and corporations who make non-cash contributions. If a non-cash contribution exceeds $500, the taxpayer must file IRS Form 8283.
