Coming to ROCK FOR RESPONDERS? Here are a few things you need to know.

Who's performing?

Kings of Chaos will rock the LA Waterfront right in front of the iconic Battleship IOWA. The band features legends like:

  • Sammy Hagar
  • Robin Zander (Cheap Trick)
  • Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple)
  • Steve Stevens (Billy Idol | Top Gun Anthem)
  • Phil X (Bon Jovi)
  • Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses | Velvet Revolver | The Cult)
  • Kevin Cronin (formerly of REO Speedwagon)
  • Orianthi (Alice Cooper | Michael Jackson)
  • Carmine Rojas (Rod Stewart | David Bowie)
  • Paul Trudeau (Billy Idol)

More special guests to be announced. And featuring event emcee: actor, comedian, US Air Force veteran BJ Lange and appearances by actor Steve Guttenberg and ABC News chief national correspondent Matt Gutman.

What time does the event start and finish?

Doors open at 4:30 PM. Show begins at 5:45 PM (and you want to be there for the opening – it will be EPIC). Concert ends at 9:45 PM.

Where is the concert being held?

This concert will take place against the backdrop of the Battleship IOWA at:

250 S. Harbor Blvd.
San Pedro, CA 90731

It will be outdoors on the LA Waterfront in the Port of Los Angeles. Expect temperatures between 55-65 degrees. Please dress accordingly.

We also recommend closed-toed shoes you can walk in.

What items are NOT permitted at the event?

The following items are not permitted into the event footprint:

  • NO LARGE BAGS of any kind, including oversized purses, backpacks, diaper bags or camera bags
  • NO WEAPONS of any kind
  • NO FOOD, DRINKS, COOLERS, or ICE CHESTS
    • Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the event
    • Absolutely NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL
  • NO PETS with the exception of guide dogs
  • NO FIREWORKS, EXPLOSIVES, or FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
  • NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER BLADES, SCOOTERS, or BICYCLES
  • NO GANG-RELATED, VIOLENT, OBSCENE, EXPLICIT, or SUGGESTIVE CLOTHING, or clothing that PROMOTES TERRORISM, ACTS OF VIOLENCE, or subjugation of a person or persons
  • NO ILLEGAL DRUGS or PARAPHERNALIA
  • NO DRONES of any size
Will there be security screenings at the event?

All persons entering the event will be subject to airport-style security screening, which includes metal detectors and bag search.

What amenities will be available?

Food trucks and bars will have items for purchase. Merchandise will be available as well. We’ll also be holding a silent auction featuring autographed guitars and more, including a guitar played in the concert that night.

Outside food and alcohol are not allowed.

What ages will be admitted?

This concert welcomes all ages and will take place rain or shine.

Is photography permitted?

Personal photography is allowed, but no professional cameras or videotaping is permitted without media credentials.

Can I bring my drone to the event?

The Port of Los Angeles is a “No Drone Zone.” Photography is encouraged, but Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are strictly prohibited and subject to enforcement by the Los Angeles Port Police, per Los Angeles Municipal Code 63.44(B)8, which states: “No person shall land, release, take off or fly any balloon, except children toy balloons not inflated with any flammable material, helicopter, parakite, hang glider, aircraft or powered models thereof, except in areas specifically set aside therefore.”

Are personal chairs permitted?

No. For safety and comfort personal chairs are not permitted in the venue.

Will there be ADA access?

An ADA section will be available by request at check in.

The City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department (EMD) has designated the Pacific Battleship Center, the established 501c3 non-profit that owns and operates the National Museum of the Surface Navy at the Battleship IOWA and Los Angeles Fleet Week, to facilitate the donation of funds, grants, and in-kind products or services for the benefit and support of the City’s Emergency Management Efforts.
