16" HC Projectile Nose Fuze Cover

16 Inch High Capacity Projectile Nose Fuze Protective Cover.
Cast brass, threaded inside, with four lugs for tightening or loosening. Stamped on the sides in two places with 16/1956-H R.B. Protective covers like this were used on 16"/45 and 16"/50 Mk 13 High Capacity rounds when on the ship, until just before the round was sent to the gun room.
Good condition. Small dent near the tip. Light wear. Tarnished. Paint splatters. Light patina from corrosion inside. Writing may have been stenciled onto the side, but is not legible
