Seth Thomas 1940 US Navy Mark I Deck Clock

Seth Thomas 1940 US Navy Mark I Deck Clock. Cast brass case, nickel plated.
Intended for bulkhead mounting. Black face with white numerals. Second hand and dial is located below the 12 position.
Hands are white with red tips. Dots on the face outside the numerals appear grey, but may have been originally red. Base is hinged and entire clock case swings out to allow access to winding and setting posts, and regulator. The base plate is missing.
A clock like this was mounted over the desk in the captain's cabin on USS Iowa in the 1940s and 1950s.
