Mk 28 Mod 0 Binoculars, Case, and Designation of Grade
Object/Artifact
The Mark 28 Model O Binoculars were made in 1943 and are in excellent condition. The leather straps on the binoculars and the leather in the case are both still present with only light cracking. This type of binoculars was fairly common, and produced in mass by a number of different contractors. Aside from the binoculars, the case also held a 'Designation of Grade' for Lieutenant Commander William E. Scrimsher. The binoculars serial number: 159949
