Freedom of the Seas Pavilion & Park

A Place to Gather. A Mission to Grow.

The Freedom of the Seas Pavilion and Park is the next evolution of our mission—to educate, inspire, and unite through purpose. This transformative space on the LA Waterfront will serve as a dynamic hub for veterans, students, and the community, while preserving and celebrating our maritime legacy.

The Pavilion:

A flexible, 550-person event and program venue designed to:

  • Host education programs, ceremonies, and civic events
  • Serve as a veteran and visitor resource center
  • Support tourism and port access with modern amenities
  • Provide expanded space for community impact—tripling our current capacity

Project Budget: $12 million (excluding adjacent park components)

Projected Opening: 2027

The Park:

Adjacent to the Pavilion and the Battleship IOWA, the Freedom of the Seas Park will feature:

  • Veterans memorials for California, Iowa, Los Angeles, and San Pedro
  • Two Brown Water Navy boats
  • The Honor Walk with sponsorable pavers and interactive art
  • Garden pathways and quiet reflection areas
  • Connection between San Pedro and LA World Cruise Terminal

This space honors the past while connecting generations—offering a living landscape of remembrance, storytelling, and civic pride.

Project Budget:

Phase 1: $4 million

Phase 2: $6 million

Targeted Opening: 2028-2030
