Strengthening Our Community Through Connection & Purpose
We bring people together through civic engagement, disaster readiness, and partnerships that build a stronger, more resilient Los Angeles.
Leading With Purpose. Serving With Impact.
As the first “pearl” in the LA Waterfront’s transformation, we strengthen Los Angeles through economic impact, resilience, and human connection. Generating over $13 million annually and supporting 250+ local jobs, we invest in our city through over $500,000 each year in donated event fees and tickets to nonprofits and organizations serving the community.
But our commitment goes beyond the numbers. As the nonprofit behind the LA Disaster Recovery and Resilience Collective (LADRRC), we lead public safety training and disaster coordination efforts — from maritime search and rescue to DSCA exercises with local, state, and federal partners. We are also proud to serve as the lead nonprofit for LA Fleet Week, welcoming service members and civilians to connect and celebrate civic pride.
Aboard Battleship IOWA, generations come together. Volunteers find belonging, seniors stay active, and youth discover purpose through programs designed to uplift and empower. With a community of over 8,300 volunteers, our ship is more than a museum — it’s a living platform for service, unity, and progress.
Here, purpose meets service — and community is built every day.
“This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.”
— President Theodore Roosevelt

Economic & Community Development
Investing in Los Angeles Through Growth & Opportunity
As the first “pearl” in the LA Waterfront’s revitalization, we generate more than $13 million in annual economic impact and support over 250 local jobs. Our commitment to equitable development includes priority purchasing from local and small businesses and over $500,000 in annual donations of tickets and event space to nonprofits and community organizations. We believe strong cities are built through shared investment — and we’re proud to play a leading role in Los Angeles’ growth.

Public Safety & Resilience
Building a Safer, More Resilient City
Through the LA Disaster Recovery and Resilience Collective (LADRRC), we coordinate safety and disaster readiness efforts across agencies and sectors. As a trusted site for first responder training, maritime rescue drills, and federal DSCA exercises, we help prepare Los Angeles for the unexpected. In partnership with the LA Emergency Management Department (EMD), we’re building a culture of readiness that protects people, strengthens systems, and empowers our region to recover stronger.

Human Connection & Civic Engagement
Uniting People Through Service & Shared Purpose
With over 8,300 active volunteers, our programs foster belonging, service, and purpose across generations. Seniors stay active, youth discover direction, and communities gather for events that matter. As the lead nonprofit for LA Fleet Week, we welcome thousands to connect, celebrate, and serve. From public ceremonies to intergenerational programming, we’re proud to be a platform where human connection drives civic pride and a stronger future for Los Angeles.
