Today marks the nineteenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. That day was a watershed for many young people. It motivated them to step up to serve their nation. The Outpost tells the story of a group of these heroes.
In 2009 “…small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, [battled] an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh became the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghanistan War, and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.”
