Steel Beach Barbecue for Father’s Day

A “steel beach barbecue” is a Navy tradition in which a ship holds a casual cookout on the deck (the “steel beach”) of a ship while underway. It’s a welcome break from shipboard duties that includes burgers, dogs, and sometimes beers.

This Father’s Day – Sunday, June 21, celebrate Dad with a one-of-a-kind experience aboard a historic U.S. Navy battleship. Enjoy classic BBQ, waterfront views, and interactive  exploration for an unforgettable day.

Please park in the lot adjacent to Battleship IOWA. Parking is free for the first hour, then $2.00 for every subsequent hour.
